VPN Concentrator not learning routes from eBGP neighbor

I have an MX105 pair in HA mode and I'm peering eBGP with my collapsed dist/core 9500.  I see that I'm learning routes on my 9500 from my MX105, however I'm not seeing any learned routes on the route table of my MX105.  Should I see learned routes?

No, the MX just advertise routes, but not learn. You need to add the routes manually.

This is wrong.

Only if the MX is running OSPF is it in an advertise only mode.

When it runs eBGP with an upstream device it will learn the routes gotten from the peer and give them over iBGP to the spoke MX devices.

Few things you must check.
- If the eBGP peer is more than one hop away you'll probably need to add the route towards the next hop as a VPN static route.
- On the 9500 please check the bgp advertised-routes and see if you are passing on the correct routes and make sure your ASN is not already in the advertisements so the MX would ignore them.
