URL Bloqued

Hello Community

We have a problem with URL blocking.

We are trying to access a Cisco URL and it is being blocked by the firewall even though it has no blocking rules.

We know this is the firewall because when connecting to a 4G network the site opens normally.

Does anyone have any idea what it might be?

Thanks.

Hi.

Sorry for the delay in returning.
Apparently it was a bug. After 40 minutes we could access the site normally.
Thank you for your attention and support in this case.
Thanks and have a great week.

Kind of a big deal

From within your network, can you run a traceroute to the domain that you're unable to access? Does it complete?

If it does not complete, can you run a traceroute on the 4G connection to see if it's successful there? If you're using a phone, you can download apps that'll run a traceroute for you.

When you look at the event log, are you seeing any hits for content filtering?

Does the event log show it has blocked anything due to content filtering?

Under Security & SD-WAN/Security Centre/MX Events show that it has blocked anything related due to security reasons?

If neither of these two show up it is probably not the Meraki kit.

Are you running antivirus or any other software solutions that can also do blocking?

Another test - try whitelisting an affected client temporarily.

If this fixes it then you know it is Meraki related.  If it does not - start looking for a problem somewhere else.

Just wanted to add, after whitelisting it, disconnect and reconnect the client to the network to make it apply.
