Threat Protection > Protected Networks - How populated?

I am running MX and MRs for home network. I want to incorporate IPS. I have APs set as pass-through, using ISP router for DHCP on 192.168.1.0/24 network. 

Under Security & SD-WAN > Threat Protection > Protected Networks, there are 15 pre-populated networks in the box. A few questions:

1 - How does/did these NWs get there?

2 - I am assuming I should add 192.168.1.0/24

3- Under the box their is a setting to use recommended default settings. If I click this the NW box above gets grayed out. What does this setting actually do and should I accept default?

that are the most commonly used local network /private ranges(see https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5735 ) .No you dont need to add that subnet it is part of 192.168.0.0/16

I'm not aware of a "Protect Networks" option in that section.  Can you post a screenshot?
