Teleworker Z3 (14.53) - Bad Gateway Event Log

Hello,

Have been seeing bad gateway (no lan connectivity) event logs periodically throughout the Z3 deployments. Documentation states that it is tied to an arp request issue (upstream home router), looking to get a detailed explanation and also wondering if any one else has seen these issues?

The Z3 has to be rebooted for it to regain VPN connectivity, thanks.

Nik

Hello @Nik1

The MX/Z Firewalls run connection monitoring tests to monitor the connection on the WAN side. These include, ARP requests to the local gateway, ping to 8.8.8.8, DNS resolutions for meraki.com, google.com and yahoo.com and Dashboard Connectivity tests.

If anyone of these fails, the error would be shown on the appliance Uplink. Bad Gateway means that the ARP response from the gateway is possibly having issues getting to the Z3.
