Signatures based communication with Meraki Box (Custom Application & IPS Signatures)

Hi, 

we can develop predefined signatures over our meraki box for avoiding common attacks. If you use an unusual or specialized application or an uncommon platform, add custom signatures based on the security alerts released by the application and platform vendors.

I‘m not quite sure if I understand you correctly: are you asking a question or are you offering something regarding the IPS within Meraki MX?

The Meraki IPS engine doesn't allow custom signatures to be added.

Phillip's got it. The IPS is setup to be turned on and chug away. You can whitelist specific signatures in the Security Center, but that's about it.

If you need something where you can load custom signatures or make a lot of adjustments, you need a separate device for IPS. Meraki won't give you that access.
