SD-WAN for internet traffic

Hi all,

in my understandig SD-WAN on a MX works only for Auto-VPN traffic. You can configure performance classes used to decide the WAN link for a connection.

For internet traffic you can configure flow preferences, aka policy-based routing.

When I take a look at the Meraki Launchpad for Partners on dcloud.cisco.com, I find no flow preferences anymore, There are performance classes, used for both, internet traffic and VPN traffic.

The same in the dashboard network London, there is a MX 105, firmware version 16.16. In the network San Francisco (MX250, firmware version 16.16) and in the template Retail Stores.

Here I have some MX64 and 67, firmware versions 16.16 (as in the dCloud) and one MX64, version 17.5 (beta). The configuration is the "old" style.

The documentation shows the "old" style to configure SD-WAN.

Are performance classes for internet traffic a closed beta?

Best regards

Peter
