SD-WAN Tunnel LAN Interface

Hello,

We have an MX accessing the internet in 2 possible ways:

-Using the MX Internet port for MX cloud dashboard access

-Using the LAN interface with a default route going out of this LAN interface for data.

The MX is supposed to use SD-WAN. Question: does the MX only build its SD-WAN tunnel using its internet ports, or does it depend on its routing table? In other word, is the default route taken into account when building the tunnel to the remote party and leads traffic to be routed out of the LAN, or does the MX forces tunnelled traffic to exit through its Internet port, regardless of the route?

Many thanks for your answer !

Kind of a big deal

SD-WAN is used between 2 or MX when using AutoVPN.

You need to be using AutoVPN.  AutoVPN needs to be built from the WAN ports.
