Raisecom & Meraki - 100Mbps FD Not Working

Hi there,

Would like to reach out to other administrators whom had faced this issue before.

We been informed by the ISP that we need to set our MX WAN Port to 100Mbps FD in order to work with their device (Raisecom).

However, the port does not show green (portal) in this setting. Tried unplug / replug the cable and it makes no difference.

But once set back to Auto, the wan port comes back online (green).

Anyone faced such before?

What kind of ISP can't provide a 1Gbps interface ?

Never faced that issue

Yeah, that doesn't sound right.

If it negotiates to 1Gbps and comes up when set to auto, it sounds like the ISP is giving you incorrect information.

Suspecting issue is with the PE device. Awaits replacement to confirm.
Coz when they claimed its has been reconfigured to 100Mbps FD, Meraki Auto Nego shows 100Mbps Half Duplex.

Very odd.

@AY2022 it isn't uncommon for autonegotiation to get the duplex wrong when the other side is hard coded.  It also isn't uncommon for ISPs to accidentally set half duplex...  If you try an internet large file transfer test, does it perform as expected with the connection set at 100/half or do you get very poor performance?

These are seen:

Auto Negotiation on PE device

1) When using laptop (auto) seeing very slow upload, when using laptop (100MbpsFD) getting almost subscribed speed (up/down).

100Mbps FD on PE deice

1)  When using laptop (auto) seeing very slow upload, when using laptop (100MbpsFD) getting almost subscribed speed (up/down).

2) When connected to Meraki, wan port showing 100Mbps HD; slow upload on laptop connected to ethernet (LAN).

We are getting the ISP to replace their PE.
