Question about redundancy between two firwalls MX-84 Series

Hi Everyone!

I've been researching the use of a device's capabilities in spare mode.
Its primary function is simply to replace the primary device in case it fails.
My question is, can't I use the resources of my MX-84 in spare mode to increase my resource utilization?

The situation is that I have more than 200 devices connected to my primary MX-84, and it's already causing me connection and browsing issues. I just wanted to see if I can use the resources of the secondary device or my MX-84 in spare mode.

Best Regards Team!

No.

The MX84 goes EOS on October 31, 2026, so I would start planning its replacement.

I would consider the MX95 to give you some additional headroom for growth.  Failing that, there is the MX85, but the client limit is 250, so you would be operating near the limit straight away (not good).
