Problem with VPN Client windows 10

Repeatedly it happens that the Meraki MX64 VPN connection
client stops working well, we have not made changes to the device
configuration or the windows 10 of the equipment.

Hi Ingleserv,

That's not been my experience, I currently have an MX64 deployed as my home firewall and utilise the Client VPN function on a daily basis.

No issues in the past 9 months or so.

Have you looked at the device logs, in particular the Client VPN related logs?

Also, have you interrogated the system logs (Event Viewer) on the impacted Windows 10 clients?

It is a real common problem after Windows 10 updates.  @Nash loves this issue.

True that it's a common issue, untrue that I love it. I just got mad and sunk dozens of hours into fixing it.

Try the scripts in my signature.

Make sure you don't save the user credential.

Make sure you use rasphone.exe to connect to the VPN, not the network icon in your systems tray.

If you setup the VPN manually, choose "optional" Encryption. Windows doesn't support PAP with "required" and will change your password protocol.

If you try this and still have problems, give us a shout and we'll work through it with you.

@Nash I wish they would update the documentation about the "optional encryption" setting.
