This would require purchase of a new MX75 license.

As for the config steps this doc covers it all https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/Other_Topics/MX_Cold_Swap_Replacing_an_Existing_MX_with_a_Differ...

So I can’t transfer the balance of my mx65w license to this new device?  Would be unfortunate to lose 2 years of license by upgrading. I think the new one only came with a year license.

Licenses are model specific. But, if you have an active MX65W license it will contribute somewhat to the overall Org co-term date based on time remaining on the license.

You can use the License Calculator to model the effect of adding new licenses to an Org.

When your licenses are about to expire you might want to check out the new Subscription Licenses.  There the same license type could have been used between the MX65 and 75 since they are both in the small category.
