Metrics in MX static routing and GLBP options

Hi everybody.

As I understood from documentation static routing in MX are used only for LAN communications.

Is it true?

1) Can I use static routes to ISP?

2) How can I use metrics in route? I don't see any fields for it.

If it's impossible, what is the right way to use two MX in balancing mode? Not in failover like MX Warm Spare, but in balancing, something like with Cisco GLBP?

Thank you in advance.

In a nutshell: there is no Active / Active or loadblanacing regarding MX.

Correct, static routes are only for the LAN.

This article explains load balancing.  Basically, it is automatic.

Thank you Philip. But I meant balancing between two MX. Something like GLBP.

Note that unlike Cisco Enterprise, you don't have to buy a Cisco Meraki licence for a warm spare.

So just buy a pair of the next size device up if needed.
