Meraki MX ebgp in routed mode

Do the current MX appliance support ebgp in NAT/routed mode and not just VPN Concentrator mode?  Looking to see if we can support failover between MPLS and Internet provider via route based VPN.

Yes they do:

Routed Mode

iBGP establishes relationships over AutoVPN and will establish and exchange routes between AutoVPN peers.

eBGP peer relationships are supported on both the WAN and LAN of the MX, peering is bi-directional and routes will be automatically redistributed into AutoVPN.

Hi @IVYJustin,

This new future works on current MXes, there are only two requirements,

  • Must be running at least firmware version MX18.205
  • Enable No-NAT mode.

Is NO NAT mode required? What if I want to allow internet traffic?

Will ebgp now be supported as a route based VPN now?
