MX68CW-WW Cellular uplink in Timor Leste

Hello All,

 

I am struggling to bring up our MX68CW-WW's cellular uplink.

Followed this doc for initial setup:

The device successfully registering in the Dashboard, when WAN1 port used as an Internet uplink.

The LTE carrier is Telcomcel. The SIM card, which I am testing is removed from a different LTE device, where the SIM card was working perfectly, meaning the SIM card is active, no PIN required and has data. When it is relocated to the MX, the cellular upling status stuck in the Connenting phase.

 

Already verified:

1. APN Settings: tested with the deaults, does not work. Official docu from carrier: https://telkomcel.tl/p/internet-settings

2. There is no need to register IMEI of the device to use the carrier.

 

Does anybody faced similar issue?

Any ideas what can be wrong?

Does it have an APN?

Try disabling and enabling the LTE interface.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

If you haven't already, I'd raise a case with Meraki Support

As stated above, best to open a support case. The only other thing that comes to mind is if your Telco has restrictions on the SIM. Your SIM could be locked to the previous LTE device (especially if it was Telco provided).

Otherwise, I've heard of some Telco's blocking connections from certain devices (such as Meraki) as they only allow enterprise devices on a certain APN. 

Never encountered it myself though.
