I have an MX64 firewall with two WAN ports but i have three internet lines so i need a LAN port to work as a WAN
is it possible ? if yes, how ?
Solved! Go to solution.
There is definitely no method of using more than two wired WAN's on nay of the MX line
We did a rollout earlier this month on 5 remote sites which have three WAN's (2 x Data and 1 x VOIP) we had to use a Z3 for the VOIP lines
In case anyone comes across this thread - it has been possible, for some time, to convert the nominated LAN port for a small MX to WAN (and back again, if desired) through Dashboard itself: Security & SD-WAN > Monitor > Appliance status, in the Uplink menu. Note some models use a different port as the hybrid, e.g. MX64 = LAN4, MX67 = LAN2. References are in the respective Installation Guide (search 'toggle')
Does the MX restart or the primary uplink reset when converting the nominated LAN port to WAN? If so I'll have to schedule after hours work. Hoping I can do it during the day.
