MX 95 and higher models uplink settings

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone tried to use LAN port for connectivity with the dashboard or it has to be one of the WAN ports?

You must use WAN ports, in other words, you cannot use LAN ports for this purpose.

Just to clarify, you can convert one of the LAN ports to be used as a WAN port. But it is still a WAN port.

And to clarify this only applies to a few models like MX67 and some legacy models

Backup WAN uses WAN port 3 or 4 depending on model not a LAN port

Yes, thanks for the information. I have read all this ibut somehow I hoped that it could be done over LAN port because two active WAN ports will be connected to private circuits cloud with no connection to the internet, as it appears now, so I am looking for alternative solution.

You'll need to provide a path to internet via the private circuits

Meraki is not designed to work in that situation. The supported way of integrating a private WAN (that doesn't provide internet) is https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/Networks_and_Routing/Integrating_an_MPLS_Connection_on_the_MX_LA...
And if it does provide internet is: https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/Site-to-site_VPN/Configuring_Site-to-site_VPN_over_MPLS

MPLS is used as a generic term for a private circuit in these documents. There are regular Cisco solutions that are capable of what you need. I suggest talking to your Cisco AM and SE to figure something out.
