Load Balancing

Getting noticed

Load Balancing

Current config for one of MX-100 is
-We have a backup internet connection.
-Primary Uplink is WAN 1

-WAN failover and failback- Graceful,

-Load Balancing is disabled.
-Active-Active auto VPN is enabled-Yes

Issue- Some time WAN1-DNS drops up to 50 %

Concern- is their any way is there is any way we can set that if 50% of uplink DNS drops that is should immediately change the uplink to Backup internet in X time.

Maybe it will help you: Connection Monitoring for WAN Failover - Cisco Meraki Documentation

If you want to have more control over the failover process, you might need to look into external solutions or scripts that can monitor the DNS and trigger the failover based on your specific conditions.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

You can only do this with a flow preference over AutoVPN.

I don't think you'll be able to solve this.
