How to capture packet from a specific LAN port in MX?

When I go to Packet Capture, the only relevant choice is "LAN". I have a vendor router that's connected to port 5 of the MX and I wish to see the traffic that's passing through there. Any ideas?

It is not possible only from specific subnet, IP, Sevice Port or MAC.

Once you start the packet capture on LAN, use filters to narrow down traffic:

  • Filter by IP address of the vendor router.
  • Filter by MAC address if known.
  • Filter by protocol (e.g., TCP, UDP).
