Group Policy – Why is the highest custom bandwidth limit only 100 Mbps?

Hi Community,

While creating or editing a Group Policy (example: Directors_Access), I noticed that the maximum available custom bandwidth limit is only 100 Mbps.

Earlier, I remember we could set higher bandwidth limits (e.g., up to 1 Gbps or unlimited).
Is there a recent change or restriction in Meraki Dashboard that limits the bandwidth cap to 100 Mbps for Group Policies?

Here’s the screenshot for reference:

Kindly let me know if:

This is a global change, or

Related to specific device model / firmware version ?

Correct. Do not use the simple mode. That has the slide bar set to 100mbps. Click on details, and you can enter the values like my screenshot.

Hi @Shubh3738 ,

In your screenshot, click on the details link and you can enter the value manually. I tested this in the Lab.

When I select a custom bandwidth value in simple mode, it automatically sets the value to 100 Mbps, even if I try to enter higher limits.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.
