Disestablishing HA

With 2x Mx84 in HA.  Is there a correct way to break the HA ?

No longer need the 2 MX’s only 1 needed but I want to disestablish correctly.

Thanks

Hi @Dannygere

I am not aware of a best practice document from Meraki on De-Establishing HA.

I believe you may disable HA from Appliance Status page (The sessions established on VIP will be disconnected) and remove the device from the network.

However Aaron published a well written document on the functionality of Warm Spare in Meraki.(Worth reading)

Kind of a big deal

I would probably power off the secondary, and then remove the secondary from the dashboard. Last step is physically remove the device.

I would suggest caution with this guide. There are many incorrect assumptions made, and warm spare does not always work the way the author suggests.
