DHCP Problems

Hello!

I have some question about this error - meraki extra: no_offers_received

And about best practice for DHCP. We have 2055 clients on MX250 DHCP

Because we have some issue that DHCP on MX is stopping work correctly, a lot of DHCP requests and maybe it provides a lot of queues for receiving IPaddress
Is VLANs can resolve this problem?

And Meraki has 1 DHCP system daemon and work from others configuration or when we create new DHCP it's creating new DHCP system daemon and work from his config file?

Thank you

Kind of a big deal

Have you exhausted your DHCP scope?

How are the clients attached?  One single wired VLAN with everyone in it?  A VLAN with APs and uses WiFi attached?

Sorry for a long answer

No, we didn't exhaust DHCP Scope

I didn't understand about client's attached question. No, we use different VLANs. Yes, we use some Vlans for WiFi

Comes here often

Seen this in the event logs before:

Recommend this Meraki Troubleshooting link: https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Monitoring_and_Reporting/DHCP_%22no_offers_received%22_Errors_in...

Just check the following:

  • Is the DHCP configured correct.
  • Is there sufficient pool of IP addressing
  • and do the clients have connectivity to the DHCP server.

Hopefully that helps.
