Configure Meraki with offline configuration without activating the license

Hi

can we configure MX with offline configuration without accessing the internet OR with internet but without activating the license to be ready for installation?

the main goal is to configure and to not activate the license until the device is ready for installation

You can add a MX serial to dashboard and then create a network and config without the MX being online. This will however invoke a license error if you don't have available licensing.

Have you not purchased a license yet or just not claimed it? I ask because if you already purchased the license it's already active/counting down so there's no benefit to not claiming it.

As @Ryan_Miles states, as soon as you add a device to a network to configure it triggers the device license count. So could put you in license violation.

If you have the device in your presence then you can configure the basics such as the WAN ports IP and DNS.
