We have been battling client VPN issues for the last couple of weeks with no resolution so far with support. This is a brief summary of errors and things tried so far:
- The user have intermittent problems connecting to client VPN. Some days are better than others which makes the issue even harder to resolve
- There are mostly Windows machines in the environment and the connection error received is "The connection was terminated because the remote computer did not respond in a timely manner". Looking at Event Viewer, the error # is 718.
- We do have Mac machines that have issues from time to time as well, that error says "You were disconnected because the PPP server stopped responding"
- Fixes tried so far with no success:
- 3 different firmware versions on the MX
- Disabling/re-enabling clients that are having issues
- Rebooting the MX multiple times
- Meraki said they made a tweak on the server to fix, but still have issues.
