Cisco MX84 singular moving to HA Pair - License impact?

Have a question for group - thanks in advance for all responses

Client today has MX84 with license in production at site one

Client opening a new location in different part of town - new building and new MX84 with new License

Client will then close the site one production site and move that MX84 (at that location) to the new building and reconfigure the MX84(s) to act as HA pair.  Thus not needing a total of 2 licenses but only one shared license between two devices as final production.

Question to confirm - once new building is in production with Two MX84 sharing a single license, the total term of the MX license will be recalculated to add time for the remainder of the second MX's license against total term (Nothing will be lost but the total term should be extended by balance of second license?) - Correct?

Thanks for any responses -

The licence term will not change.  All that will happen is you will have an additional unused licence.

Getting noticed

Once the second MX is added to the HA pair, the licensed devices count will drop to 1, so your second MX license will double the time of the "one MX"
