AnyConnect licensing
Fairly new to administration of Meraki's. Have been reading about licensing & support.
I have been reading that AnyConnect licenses need to be renewed, but then have been told that they are basically bought once and good forever,
If I could get some clarification that would be helpful.
Thank you,

You always have a kind of Subscription for AnyConnect. There are three models:
- Subscription per Person that uses the Cisco Secure Client. Every User needs a license. The term is typically three or five years (which have the best price/value ratio) and after the term it has to be renewed.
- Same as 1) but you "buy" the license (it is perpetual). But for Updates of the client you need a service contract.
- Licensed per device, but this is only useful if you have many users but only a small amount of them connect at the same time. Again, you need a service contract.
In 99% (just a guess) option 1 is the way to go.

That is one of the best descriptions I have even seen.

Thank you for the clarification. After a day of digging around finally found our order for AnyConnect, and we bought for 2 years.
The previous admin had left, and checking around Meraki portal saw things were dropping off.
