Any Plans to Add MX support for AT&T USB800?

Hello,

I foolishly purchased a cellular USB modem without checking compatibility first. Does anybody know if there is future plans to support LTE USB modems or specifically the ATTUSB800?

Thank you,

Colin

I'm using Cradlepoint CBA850s to add a 3rd WAN option.  There's a nice walkthrough on the Cradlepoint page on how to set up Ethernet IP passthrough on the CBA850, which can then be configured to failover to LTE if the Ethernet is down. Plug the CBA850 into WAN2 on the MX, and you're done.

It's all managed through their NetCloud dashboard, so I can still manage everything remotely just like I do with my Meraki devices.

Hi @SVCommuServices , I believe Merakis focus for cellular failover now lies in their MG solution.  To support all flavours of usbs from the vast number of providers is a mammoth task. And why bother if you can provide a solution in house

@DarrenOCThank you for the response, yeah I took a quick look at the MG series but didn't see any USB interfaces. I'm looking to accomplish a tertiary backup with an MX100 and as far as I know it's just LAN1 and LAN2 for uplink.

@PFSMattThank you! If I have to I suppose this is how I'll do it if there's no support natively with Meraki.

Comes here often

On your secondary ISP.. Do you a static IP block or just 1?  Looking to do this as well, however I've got a 6 IP block of which most are in use.

Seems like a great solution, but I'm not sure how the MX would change over IPs unless it were set to DHCP(WAN) and that would kill the utilization of the additional IPs on my secondary.

It is very unlikely.
