Multiple Sites - Best Practice

Dear Community,

We have setup a first network on one of our campus (Location 1): 2 antennas, one wired, one meshed.

Now we bought two more antennas and would like to setup a second campus (Location 2).

Can we add the two campus on the same meraki account/app ?

If yes, should we assign a network SSID to specific devices antennas ?

Or is it better to create another account ?

Regards,

Cedric

Hey @CedricS,

While you could add the additional campus' access points to the original account that you have, you will get a much better experience using multiple accounts. This way, things like traffic analytics are segmented between the locations, so you can ensure you are always getting accurate information (There is currently no mechanism to broadcast certain SSIDs on certain APs, so filtering by SSID wouldn't mitigate this either).

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Cheers,

Joe
