How to connect Meraki Go Firewall Plus to ISP Modem/Router in PPPoE mode?

Hi,

I purchased a Meraki Go GX50 Firewall Plus and try to connect it to my ISP provided modem router in PPPoE Mode. According to both ISP and TP-Link, this modem/router VR1600v device cannot be turned into bridge mode because  the ISP technology that applied in my house is based on RJ45 cable line instead of the phone line.

Please help advise whether this Cisco Meraki GX50 Firewall Plus can be used in my existing broadband technology (and if not I will have no choice but to return it to Amazon).

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Regards-

Mak

You can configure the device for PPPoE on the local status page.

  • Connect to your LAN
  • Go to your MX IP in a web browser
  • Click configure tab and Login - default is just the MX serial as the username exactly how it's written
  • Configure your WAN port for PPPoE.

It works, thanks Franco244 for the expert advice.

page 5 of the manual shows lan  and wan ports.

is your vr1600 connected to the internet via an ethernet canle from 1600v wan port to service provide modem?   the FW would go between isp modem and vr1600.

I dont see an rj45 on the vr1600v on pag 5.
