500-220 ECMS exam update?

Given the new development in the Meraki products based on the latest announcement from Cisco live; is there a plan to update the 500-220 exam any time soon? If it is few months may be I'd rather wait to go for the new version. Any one know?

Cisco Learning is always continuously evaluating exams for changes. The exact info is pretty closely held. Most of what they are changing is additions or renamings, so I would continue to study as-is.

I assume that this exam is not aligned to the Cisco Certification Roadmap (I wish it would). And with that, it can, but it dosn't have to happen anytime soon.

In my experience, the exam alignes to the ECMS course. About one year ago, Cisco combined the ECMS1 and ECMS2 course and created the ECMS. They just concatenated both outdated courses to a new outdated course. In my experience, the exam questions reflect the course, not the real life. So we have to wait for an updated course.

Don't waste your money on the Cisco U training for the ECMS 500-220 exam. I went through the training course and felt very confident about passing the exam only to find out that nearly none of the questions on the exam align with this course. Most of the labs fail about half way through and submitting a trouble ticket is worthless because it takes them a day or more to get back to you; by then you are onto the next chapter after skipping the lab.

I'm now using the documentation.meraki.com site as a study aid since it does address some of the questions I remember from the exam. It's painstaking slow but at least I feel it is a more reliable source for the exam.

That's good to know. What about the black belt training (for partners out there ) is it sufficient to take it and pass the exam. I just can't imagine going through the full Meraki documentation site ..there has to be a more efficient and easy way 😉

Thanks TracyJ for this insightful input good go know.
