We are changing our firewall from Meraki to another Vendor but keeping our MR - ACCESS POINT

We have MR30H, MR32, MR33, MR36, MR44 and MR46.

What do we have to consider?

Do we need to keep the MR Licenses to manage the Access point?

Can we do all the Enterprise management we could when we have the Meraki console

In the Meraki Dashboard if you go to the ? in the top right hand corner and then down to Firewall Rules - you need to allow that traffic on the new firewall.

Yes.  If you don't have licences they will stop working.  Clients will not be able to connect.

You will still be using the Meraki Dashboard.

You will still require MR licenses, to continue use of Meraki Access Points and manage them in the dashboard.

There is no console on Meraki - management is only available through the Cloud-based Meraki Dashboard.

You will also need to ensure that the new Firewall allows all communication to the Meraki Cloud for your APs to continue to function.

You can see the required firewall openings in the Dashboard by clicking on the Help Button and Firewall Info.
