Policies

I have a device on my network by the MAC address and I chose the "Block Policy" but the device still get an address. I can't find anywhere to make adjustments to this policy. Guessing this is a default policy that should just work?

Kind of a big deal

This will not prevent it from receiving an IP, it will just prevent it from accessing other network and Internet resources.

Applies the following settings to a client:

  • Firewall rule applied to block all communication with other devices on the Network (only applies to traffic that traverses the Cisco Meraki device that has the block is configured)
  • Blocked Splash Page will be displayed when user tries to load a web page

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.
