Almost weekly now, I have to reset my Mx-75 for an unreachable device error. This device has been up and running for over a year with no issues, but all of the sudden it starts causing issues. It will no allow the internet through the switch until I reset it manually.
Thanks in advance.
Also FYI, I am not an IT guy. I'm just the guy unlucky enough to know a little about computers.
Did you raise a case with Meraki Support?
Yes, I have a case started, just thought I'd reach out this way as well.
So little to go on, from here... Once verified that the MX is powered up & not indicating a hardware error, Support are likely to ask you to try accessing the Local Status Page and maybe from there the Support Data Bundle, to be provided to them via an alternative path:
Local Status Page: https://documentation.meraki.com/General_Administration/Tools_and_Troubleshooting/Using_the_Cisco_Me...
Have you taken any steps to verify whether the uplink the MX is connected to is working, when your problem is apparent?
I have checked for internet outages with my provider at the time of failure and have not found it to be the issue.
OK - that probably doesn't entirely preclude it from being a WAN-side problem, but good to have done an initial check. I'd recommend continuing to work with Meraki Support on this.
Firmware? Make sure you have latest stable. Sometimes beta versions will cause this issue. We had it happen to our APs.
