Formal Training for IT Management, background is IT Generalist

I am an IT generalist in a management position and my new company is using Meraki firewalls at each location (MX84, MX64, and MX105). I want to do some formal learning to upskill quickly and specialize around the Meraki devices. My experience is primarily home/SMB networks and custom Linux servers acting as network equipment (VPN, DHCP, routing), so I don't have a lot of hands-on experience with typical standard enterprise equipment, aside from managed switches which are pretty basic. What certification(s) would be most relevant for me to pursue? If more than one, which one should I do first?

This one seemed like the only Meraki specific one- Engineering Cisco Meraki Solutions

Would a more basic CCNA make more sense to start with instead?

Any input would be helpful! Thank you in advance!

A CCNA is a good start, but you don't necessarily need to invest in a certification to study. There are several very good official materials that can help you and you don't need to be certified.

Of course, for an IT career, a certification is of enormous value.

Take a look at these links.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Hi @EchoEcho - in all honesty I would just run through the dashboard for your MXs and things will quickly fall into place configuration wise.

Meraki also have a ton of documentation which you can dig through. Worth starting with this one:

In addition to the multiple resources other members have posted, I wanted to also pass along our 'quick start' for MX and our Meraki YouTube pages which are both additional resources!
