Non-paid version of SM, and Azure saml authentication

If I still have the non-subscribed version of SM, can it still be configured for devices to enroll going through self service login portal?  Or will this not work because I don't have an active license for it?  I still have the old free version with clients/devices on it.

Theoretically even with the legacy free version of SM, you can still use the Self-Service Portal and Enrollment Portal for device registration and management as long as your free instance of SM is still active and functional.

But I'm not sure a 100%.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

I know I can't add any new devices to SM, but I'm wondering if it can be done setting up SSO with Azure or not.

As authentication is only done at the time of enrollment, I'm not sure what utility this will bring.

Of course, it will give you access to the self service portal, but as you are not licensed, this is not available to you
