Kindle Fire 8.9 and Meraki MDM

I need help - I have several Kindle Fire 8.9 (old - 2013) and they used to connect to my online Meraki MDM via the system manager app in the Kindle Store.  Now I get "no network found".  It seems I can't update these to the latest Kindle Fire OS and I tried rooting/SDK all that stuff but was frankly just confused....

Maybe they are just too old to be managed? I tried Whispercast but that doesn't seem to fit the bill.  Thanks for any ideas.  Linda

I dont think Meraki offers support for Amazon Kindle anymore.

Lol, you are likely correct as the Kindle Android version is lower than what Meraki states as configurable on their site and contacting Kindle tells me that these devices cannot be updated beyond the current OS.  So these are now toys - I guess they are pretty old (I think we got them early 2013).  Thanks.
