Issues on Updating Apps on iPadOS 26+ and 18+

Hi there,

we see currently on all our managed iPads following errors, while SM is trying to install app updates:

Code: 1005

Domain: DeviceManagement.error

Error: App konnte nicht installiert werden. (Translation: Unable to install app)

Error: Unhandled exception

Are there any known issues in relation to the Appstore, Meraki or anything else which can prevent te installation of app updates?

Ensure VPP has enough licenses to deploy the apps in question. Sometimes you need to run the reclaim process using the "Revoke unknown device licenses" option

Hi,

thank you for your reply. I don't think that this is a license issue. On Monday this week the app update process worked again, yesterday got some trouble again. Very strange, but also maybe related to connectivity since students are roaming around.. Will keep an eye on that.
