Home network advice - Meraki Go

Hi folks, non-technical person here, so please bear with my silly questions.

Background - I am looking at the Meraki-Go Security Gateway, for 2 reasons:

- to strengthen security/ protection on my home network; &

- 'observe' what my two teens are upto.

I already have a Wi-Fi network set up (3000+sq ft house) using a Deco Mesh system - wireless APs.

My questions are:

1. Will Meraki-Go Security Gateway work with my third party APs and router?

2. Is the Gateway enough or would you also suggest the switch or other gear?

Any guidance to a networking newbee will be much appreciated. Thank you, Navneet

Yes the Gateway works with 3rd party devices. Alltough the feature are a bit limited at the moment since you can't block a client for exemple if it's on a 3rd party AP.

For your use case however this shouldn't be a problem.

@MeredithW  - Believe this should be relocated to the Meraki Go forum.

I'm not an employee of Cisco/Meraki. My posts are based on Meraki best practice and what has worked for me in the field.
