Meraki Access Manager and integration with Intune

I have a customer who is using Intune as their MDM/posture enforcement. They are interested to enable and try the new Meraki access manager feature but it doesn't look like the early release of Access Manager supports any integration with other MDM solutions like Intune. Is this correct ? Any idea if it is in the roadmap?

Roadmap is generally only shared under NDA. If this is important to you, your account manager may be able to let you know if this is officially on it and what the timeline is.

Thanks but is it correct that the feature is not there yet ?

The first caveat to know is that you can only do certificate-based authentication against Entra ID.  You can no longer do username/password authentication.

I currently have this setup and working:

  • All Intune-managed machines.
  • Using Intune CloudPKI to issue certificates to all devices (this is an additional Microsoft license).
  • Using Meraki Access Manager to authenticate users based on their certificates against Entra ID.

Did you have to disable MFA for the Access Manager Enterprise App in Entra?  I have it set up but when I try to connect to the SSID, I get the following message.

Reason

MFA is required for authentication.

You can no longer disable MFA in Entra ID once your authentication policy has been migrated (which happens automatically by Microsoft if you do nothing).

The instructions for using Meraki Access Manager with WiFI for username/password authentication no longer work.  You can only use certificate-based authentication.
