ServiceNow - SG-Meraki issues

Hi everyone,

We have established working connection between Meraki Dashboard and CMDB but we are having issues on the CMDB side.

1) Duplicated CIs are created instead of matching with existing CIs, if the original CI was NOT in In Production status.

For example there is Switch CI in In Stock status in CMDB. But when record of the same device comes from Meraki, they are not matched but a new CI is created.

2) Everything that comes through SG-Meraki gets its Most Recent Discovery date updated. Even if the device is offline or dormant. Woe introduced filtering for non-production devices but the CIs are still getting the MRD date updated anyway.

Any ideas how to solve this are welcome.

Thanks,

Jakub

I'm sorry but what is CMDB?

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Configuration Management DB. It's the part inventory part of ServiceNow.

I got it, but I don't use this tool. Have you tried opening a support case?
