I am stoked to release the official Ansible Collection for Meraki Dashboard API! 🎉
Now, with this Ansible Collection, integrating your Meraki environment with CI/CD pipelines has never been easier or more flexible. 🌐
Here's why I expect this to be a game-changer:
✅ Automate your Meraki configurations effortlessly.
✅ Streamline network provisioning and maintenance.
✅ Save time, reduce errors, and boost productivity.
✅ Empower your team to focus on strategic tasks.
✅ Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and version control in order to revert a change quickly in case an automated verification test fails.
You know what they say, "It takes a village." 🏡👨👩👧👦 This project wouldn't have been possible without the incredible support and collaboration of everyone involved. You rock! 🎸
As always, your feedback, suggestions, and experiences are invaluable to us as we continue to improve and expand our capabilities.
Getting Started
The new Ansible collection is going through Ansible’s community certification process and Red Hat certification process, targeting to be built-in Ansible version 2.16.0. To experience and leverage the collection today, you can start your journey with our DevNet Learning Lab.
If you already have Ansible installed, you may install the new collection using the following command:
ansible-galaxy collection install cisco.meraki -f
Resources
Compatibility with the previous community-supported Ansible collection
The initial version of the new official Ansible collection is backward-compatible with the previous community-supported Ansible collection.
Using the old modules of the collection will generate deprecation messages on the console.
The support for the old Ansible modules is not permanent. We will update which version will be the last to support them and recommend migrating to the new collection's modules.
