Hello folks,
For several years we've documented and expanded the list of supported base URIs as we've expanded global access to Meraki. Undocumented base URIs--that is, any base URIs not on this list--are not supported and also are not subject to any SLA or API contract. Last October we shared a reminder that API clients must exclusively use documented base URIs, with calls to action to developers and non-developer admins or consumers of integrations to ensure compliance with this requirement.
While the vast majority of integrations exclusively use supported base URIs, we're reaching out with another reminder that API requests to unsupported base URIs are not subject to any SLA or API contract and, as with any undocumented component, have always been subject to failure at any time without advance notice.
Further, as part of our continuous security hardening processes, requests to undocumented base URIs will fail as of 9:00AM Pacific (1600h UTC) September 15, 2025. The vast majority of integrations exclusively use supported base URIs and therefore will not notice this security hardening, but we are hoping that anyone still using unsupported base URIs despite these longstanding warnings will take action by September 15, 2025 to ensure the continuous service of their integration(s).
Call to action: developers
As before, if your integration already only uses the documented base URI(s), then no action is required. Otherwise, if you have developed and/or maintain an integration that uses dashboard API, please ensure you're using only the documented base URI for your region, and ensure that any necessary changes are made as soon as possible, and before September 15, 2025.
Call to action: non-developer users or consumers of integrations
If you leverage integrations but are not involved in their development, please check with your integration's developer that they are only using the documented base URI for your region. The integration provider's support team can affirm which base URI(s) they are using and affirm whether or not they are documented in our docs page, as well as advise on their remediation plan(s), so that they can ensure their integrations will continue working through September 15, 2025.
