Cellular signal status not being populated in Dashboard API

I am trying to retrieve the signal status of all of the cellular devices in our organization and when I make the uplink status API call the "signalStat" field is not being populated with any data regardless of cellular device type. We know these devices are capable of providing this data but for some reason this information is not being provided through the API.

Is this a bug in the API or is there another way to retrieve this information?

I've seen if the cell device (USB connected) is in a spare MX it will sit in Ready Status until it connects.  Once active (wan link failure) you see the active IP address.  Not sure if that's a hard and fast rule as I just ran a report and every cell card in Ready status has an IP at the current moment ;).    Connecting....  Is the one we watch out for, if they are in this status its hit and miss if they will come active when needed.
