Switch Management Page keeps reloading in a constant loop

When trying to click on any switch to manage it, the page loads but then reloads and it does this every 2 seconds and only way to get out of the loop is to close out site.

I have tried clearing cache, using different browsers, using old version, using new version and nothing seems to work.

All other pages work fine, only the switch pages is doing this.

OK folks this one is solved but weird as they come......

I tried logging into 2 other PCs from mine and they had the same problem.

I had another admin delete my account and add my account back.

When I verified my email address from the email the system sent me, it then allowed me to log in with my same old password and MFA and it works fine now.

So weird but it is solved.

Have you tried other browsers?

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Please, if this post was useful, leave your kudos and mark it as solved.

I tried Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. They all do the same but it is only the switch management page that acts that way.

Have you tried incognito mode?

UPDATE: Incognito is still doing it as well.

I did not try that but the problem did not start until I clicked on the new version of the site. Now even going back to the old version does not work. Another Net admin here opened his and it does not do it when he goes to the switch management pages but he never tried the new version.......
What is odd to me is it is only the switch management pages that does it, no other page has the issue.

Meraki support answered me back by stating it works and if I am still having issues, to reach out to Meraki Support. It certainly is not working and I did reach out to Meraki Support, LOL

Hi @Slayton Sorry for that experience. I have reached out to support and we are looking into the HAR capture to understand what is happening even though you are no longer experiencing the issue after recreating your user account.

@Slayton Thanks for sending that HAR file as with that we were able to understand what caused the redirect loop and now investigating a solution.

Glad to help as we are all in this together!

I updated the support ticket and added a video this time.... Switch management pages are still working correctly but now the Inventory and Network add devices pages are doing the same thing.

I am having the exact same problem. I am not clear based on the latest updates if deleting and recreating the admin credentials fixed everything or just moved it to the Inventory and Network pages. I have tried everything suggested, clear cookies, incognito, different browsers, new browsers, etc...

Do we have a definitive fix?

The deleting/recreating admin creds fixed my switch management pages from ding it but the Inventory and add devices pages are still doing this. I have sent HAR files and video of it to Meraki support and they are still trying to figure this one out.

Thanks for the quick response as this makes managing my switches near impossible at the moment. I have to pick the exact moment to stop the page loading and then pray I can get to the section I need to update before it decides to reload again.

@BMitch @Slayton Do you experience the issue on those same pages when viewing dashboard when connected to a different network (for example mobile hotspot)? Trying to rule out a firewall issue.

Yes I have tried it on phone hotspot as well as at home... same results

Being as only a couple pages does this and not all of the rest, I would not think it is a firewall issue.

I have tried it on 4 different networks, all with the same result. I can see that there is an updated login page, based on screenshots, but I can't figure out a way to get to the "new" page.

I have tried old version and the new version and they both do the same thing on the page reloads for me.
I am currently on the new version.... for me to get back to old version, I click on Global Overview at far top left, then Monitor>Overview. Then far top righthand side it says, view old version.

@spaladug - If you can kindly point me in the direction of any firewall rules we would need to have defined, that would be great. Two wireless hotspot networks did not correct the problem but worth confirming we have everything set on our side. Thanks!

@BMitch Could you open a support case so we can triage your specific issue as well? The reason I asked to see if there is a possibility of a firewall blocking some traffic is that how some pages have implemented the tracking of if a user opted into the new version of a page could lead to a lack of a response from the server side causing a redirect loop.

@spaladug is there an updated list of URLs to add to the firewalls? I tried once again this morning on my mobile hotspot and it is working as it should.

Hi,

I've the problem only on the Switch side and only, if I am connected to the network Onsite. If I connect to the dashboard from a mobile hotspot or another (home/buisness) network, everything is fine.

Thanks @Holli69 for sharing this. I tried again this morning on my mobile hotspot and all pages now work as they should when I am connected that way.

The deleting/adding my admin account on the Meraki portal fixed the switches pages but did not fix the Inventory and add devices pages. These are still in the reloading loop when connected to my work network.

@BMitch @Slayton @Holli69 can you please allow traffic to app.launchdarkly.com on your business network and let me know if that resolves the redirect looping on those pages when connected to the business network?
