Oops! We let you have a peek before it was ready.
In the past few months we have been working hard to allow customers to switch their SNMPv3 encryption setting to AES128. We recently discovered that we accidentally made a preview of that functionality available in Meraki Dashboard. For now, this preview will be removed.
We hope to release the feature in upcoming months, but some important things to note:
- We are removing the ability to change this setting in Meraki Dashboard, but no changes to networks will occur.
- If you had previously modified this setting in Meraki Dashboard, it was not implemented in your network or on your devices.
- When the feature is ready the setting will be made available again. At that time it will correctly show your network and devices at the default setting, which for most customers is DES encryption.
We apologize for the confusion this has caused, and we’re doing everything we can to prevent this from happening again in the future.
