Since the devices are currently not on the latest firmware, can we still use the Meraki features?

If a device cannot run 18.2 then it will not support any of the 18.2 specific features listed here https://documentation.meraki.com/Firmware_Features/Security_and_SD-WAN_(MX%2CZ)_Features_Directory
