Meraki Dashboard do not show the password for the local credentials

Hi,

I have 2 x [MX250-HW] in a HA Pair in a temporary network, and then I removed them from the network. Now I need to configure them for another network, but I cannot access the MX's local status page for WAN ports configuration because the Dashboard does not show the password for the local credentials anymore.

Are these problems with the Meraki Cloud?

And since MX was removed from the temporary network and offline before, when I did the password change, I'm not sure if the new password will be applied to them, even though they were added back to the network, but couldn't go online. (The Internet account for both WAN ports is no longer available.) I tried to log in again using the default credentials with serialnumber/blank or admin/serialnumber, but it's not working.

Also, we pressed the factory reset button multiple times, but the device still failed to restore to factory settings. It kept the old configuration, which made it unable to get a DHCP IP address for both WAN ports.

Has anyone had the same problem, and is it possible to fix it?

Hi @hongquangdam - this is a known issue we're aware of, whereby clicking "Show" will not present the configured password (if one has been).

Please open a Support case so you can be updated with the progress/resolution of this.

We are 3 weeks into the issue now, I don't suppose you can find out if a resolution is in sight?
