MX bulk network creation

Has anyone got experience of using Bulk Network Creation to create MX networks.
The guide

https://documentation.meraki.com/zGeneral_Administration/Templates_and_Config_Sync/Using_the_Bulk_Ne...

is very thin, and another post suggests consulting the 'Bulking Up' article which has even less detail

I appreciate it's probably not practical to expect to be able to build the uplink and gateway IPs because you have to manually configure the MX to talk to the dashboard in the 1st instance, but I'd like to create all the L3 subnets for each location as the MX will be the L3 gateway at each site.

The format will be largely repeatable at each location, and it will save a lot of clicking if I can do a bulk import.

The best option for you es creating a "Configuration template" and then after creating networks with it`s own MX bind the template to the network.

Just take in count the firmware upgrades bc in the future you only will be available to upgrade firmware ussing those templates.

The best practice is to divide it into networks that physically are near from each other, just in case that the meraki device does not work fine after upgrading

Kind of a big deal

I've only used the bulk network creation tool occasionally because it does not support creating combined networks.  It is more an artefact of when Meraki didn't have combined networks.

I'm with @Johnfnadez , that using templates these days is more likely to give the best result if all the sites are meant to be the same.

You could also consider getting more adventurous and using the Meraki API.  There are a bunch of automation scripts here:
