How do I acknowledge or remove alerts in the Dashboard?

I recently got 2-3 alerts.. "New in Dashboard" and "Action Required".. that have no way to acknowledge or remove them.. I've read them already, but there is no way to remove them.. 

How do I do this?

Are these the "blue" banner alerts at the top of the Dashboard?

One is blue.. the other two are a tan/light brown color..

For me, the blue banners across the top will have a faint 'X' at the right end.  If I click the X, the alerts are removed.  You might want to try resizing your browser if you don't see an X.  Just in case it is a responsive design issue.

That is usually what I do... but there are none on these.

I have tried expanding the window, zoom, etc.. the x just does not show up..  this just started showing up like this about a month or so ago...
