Finding old devices...

Hi Meraki Community,

in my warehouse, I found 3 old meraki devices:

-1xMR26 (which is end-of-sale and end-of-support)

-1xMS220-8P (which is end-of-sale)

-1xMX60 (which is end-of-sale and end-of-support)

Is there a way to reuse them (for example to set up a basic lab environment for students) buying licences and adding them to an organization?

The MR just uses a basic (non model specific) license. So a standard LIC-MR license would work for the MR.

And as far as I can tell MX60 and MS220-8P licenses are also still purchasable.

Based on the age of the devices they'll all be limited to certain firmware versions and features. But, could still be plenty useful for a simple lab IMO.

@Ryan_Miles the MS220-8P runs the latest 17.1.2, it isn't dead yet!

Hi @B_97 , quick thought and might be a tad cumbersome but could you create a new Org every month and use the devices for that period, run down the trial license and then start the process over again.
