Cisco Smart Account?

I just got an email for an order I placed stating that I needed to assign my order to a Smart Account. I logged into my cisco account and was directed to "License Control" (which I've never seen before).

Can someone explain to me whats a Smart Account and do I need to do anything with this?

A Cisco Smart Account is basically an online central repository where your company stores and manages all Cisco software licenses, subscriptions, and entitlements.

Cisco is transitioning more licensing workflows to Smart Licensing, and now all license-enabled product orders need to be assigned to a Smart Account before they are fully processed.

Meraki uses its own Dashboard Organization-based licensing system, completely separate from Cisco Enterprise's Smart Licensing.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

So when I order Meraki products, I still have to assign it in Cisco as well?

It's not necessary.
